Style:
She creates surrealist images by building elaborate sets or tableaux, furnishing them with carefully selected colored furniture and other objects, a process of which takes her months to complete. She is an American photographer and installation artist. Finding a comparison is difficult because she has her own way and is made by her. (All I could find.)

Influences:
She finds her influences by mostly reading books and has some influential authors like: Swedish mystery writer Henning Mankell. She states: "His work helps me to understand how much in common Americans and Europeans have, which is comforting. As a teenager I loved very long books, like Tolstoy, and very romantic brooding books like the Bronte sisters. In art history my favorites were the Italian Mannerists like Bronzino and Pontormo."

My images and her images are similar in different ways. She took her images from the very top and had a matching background under hers. I took it from the side of the food and had different backgrounds that did not match the plate or the food. Her pictures are very colorful and have a lot of patterns and unity because they look like they belong together. My images are a bit more plain and simple but thats what makes them unique.
